UBON'S THAI CUISINE

A San Antonio classic – family tradition Thai restaurant. An “Original.” If you are asking yourself where to eat, you should consider Ubon’s Thai Cuisine, formerly Ubon Tao's Thai Restaurant.


Ubon Lee is the owner of the restaurant and had her first job at that same location in the 1980s. Lee is from Thailand and her sister helps serve the hungry guests that walk in.


When you do decide to stop by, you will find friendly service and a nice aroma coming from the kitchen. Not to mention, Chef Michael Rivera will serve your food faster than you can finish your boba tea.


Chef Rivera first started his career at a Chinese restaurant in the early 80s and worked there for nearly 15 years. . When he decided to move to Michigan, he learned how to prepare authentic Thai food and has been cooking the delicacy ever since.


Ubon Tao's Thai Restaurant's team makes sanitation their number one priority and recently scored a 100 on their inspection report. When you are ordering your drinks, we recommend trying butterfly pea tea, Thai tea, or Thai boba tea. The cute stickers and curly straws add a little more fun to the experience too!


Some of the favorites on the menu are green curry, pad thai, red chili dumplings, Tom Kha Kai (coconut chicken soup), and for dessert - sticky rice with mango.


Both Rivera and Lee have been dating for more than 2 years. Everything about Ubon’s Thai Cuisine represents authentic, genuine, enriched flavors, and nothing but the finest Thai cooking makes you feel like you’re off on a vacation.
